Learning Enrichment


Timely inputs for learning enhancement and enrichment are provided to students. A brief report and relevant links are indicated below

1.    1.  Value added Courses:

The following Value Added Courses were held to provide learning enhancement.

             i.  E content Development  : Conducted via Google Classroom

iv. Barefoot Counselling Course: introduced in Sept 2022. conducted by Dr Mabel Pimenta and Ms Angelina Nunes

2.  2. Encouragement to participate in MOOCs and other enrichment programmes

(i) Ten students completed a MOOC in Blended Learning Practice conducted by Commonwealth of Learning and University of Athabasca, Canada.

(ii) Students attended a four day Faculty Development Programme on Training Teachers for Artificial Intelligence in Schools. This programme was organised by  Machine Intelligence Research Labs, USA in collaboration with Bombay Teachers'  Training College from 18 to 21 November 2020. Students learned many interesting aspects related to Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and introduction to Data Sciences and AI for Content Development. 

 (iii) Students of F.Y.B.Ed completed a course on Open Learn create "Educational Needs of Differently Abled Learners." 

 3.     Sharing of resources on Google Classroom

All faculty members have created Google Classrooms for sharing resources. Relevant resources are uploaded to enable deeper learning and foster interactivity in students. 


4.     Blogs maintained by College

 All theory courses have their independent Google Classrooms where relvant enrichment material in form of books, videos, websites, self learning resources are added as and when the topic is taught.

5.     Interaction with experts

2021-22

Students interacted with experts to learn about conservation of mangroves, sustainable development practices. Experts oriented students to the working of different Boards. Workshops have been conducted on different themes like Street Play,Charged Classrooms, Artificial Intelligence, Yoga, Classroom Communication, Stress Management and puppetry. Students have learned about Inclusivity through interaction with special educators. 




2020-21

The students of S.Y.B.Ed benefitted from the expertise of various resource persons during workshops organised. Mr Anthony Dias conducted a workshop on 'Virtual Classrooms'. Dr Giselle DSouza conducted a workshop on 'Conflict Resolution' . Dr Agnes DCosta conducted a session on Use of Simulations and Virutal Laboratories in Mathematics and Science. Mr Pradeep Dias conducted a workshop on 'Augumented Reality Apps'. Dr Apoorva Panshikar conducted a session on Role of NGOs in Inclusive Education, Ms Kirti Shende oriented students to Measures towards Sustainable Development.
